According to Bishop Adu, he is convinced that the late Tiwaa will go to heaven
The founder of Jerusalem Chapel, Bishop J. Y. Adu, made a controversial statement during the final funeral rites of late gospel musician Maame Tiwaa on April 11, 2026.
According to Bishop Adu, although he is convinced that the late Tiwaa will go to heaven, she struggled with anger issues.
Speaking to mourners at the funeral grounds, he said, “Tiwaa was a good person. It was not only her gospel songs that made her a good person, but also her kindness she could give you whatever she had.
“However, she had anger issues; sometimes she could argue with you when she got angry. Aside from that, I don’t know what could prevent her from going to heaven because she truly served God.”
