Award-winning Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy has extended a gesture of kindness to inmates at the Nsawam Prison, donating assorted items to support their welfare.

The donation, which included toiletries, beverages, bags of rice, and other essential items, was made on April 13, 2026, through his Livingstone Foundation.

Speaking during the presentation, Stonebwoy expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Ghana Prisons Service for granting him and his team the opportunity to interact with the inmates.

“We thank the management and the top leadership of the Ghana Prisons. Starting from His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to my mother, Madam Patience, and the commander and his able team for receiving us here at this time,” he said.

The musician emphasized the importance of showing compassion to inmates, noting that despite their circumstances, they remain part of society and deserve care and support.

“All we seek to do is to remember our brothers who are also here for one or the other. They find themselves on the other side of the law, but that does not mean they’re not part of us or neither humans,” he stated.

He further called on the public to be mindful of the conditions of inmates and contribute in any way possible to support them.

“We have to consider their conditions and also support with the least we can. This is going to be the first time Livingstone Foundation, which is owned by my team and me, will present such a gesture,” he shared.

Stonebwoy also expressed hope that this initiative would not be a one-time effort, but rather the beginning of continuous support for the vulnerable.

“We pray to God that as we go and hustle, we will continue to also remember and support the state in taking care of our brothers here,” he noted.

He encouraged individuals and organizations to extend similar acts of kindness not only to inmates but to all people in need.

“I encourage everyone out there to also remember not only our brothers, but others who need help as well,” he added.
