Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has offered advice to Ashanti Regional Minister Frank Amoakohene following his recent back-and-forth on social media with broadcaster Paul Adom-Otchere.

In a video shared on social media and sighted by GhanaWeb on April 15, 2026, Kwaku Manu stated that the regional minister should be cautious in his responses to criticism, considering his position and the region he represents.

Describing the Ashanti Region as the second capital of Ghana, he noted that if appointments were based on age, the minister might not have qualified for the role.

He further urged the minister to be mindful of how he reacts to critics.

“If the appointment had been based on age, he would not have qualified because the Ashanti Region is very significant. Aside from Accra, Kumasi is next. A region that has Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as its king carries great importance.

“If the appointment was based on age, he wouldn’t qualify because he is young, so he should be careful. He shouldn’t talk too much because he holds a very prominent position,” he said.

Kwaku Manu also noted that some members within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) may not be pleased with Frank Amoakohene’s appointment, urging him to tread carefully, as such individuals may be eyeing his position.

“…Even some people within the NDC may not want him in that position. I’m sure that when he got to know about his appointment, he felt some pressure.

“I wasn’t happy with how he recently responded to some people by bringing out his academic credentials and challenging others to do the same. It wasn’t necessary,” he added.
