'Guru and I hold no grudges' - Okyeame Kwame

Rapper Okyeame Kwame has debunked speculations that he has an unresolved feud with his colleague Guru.

In an interview with Okay FM shared on April 15, 2026, Okyeame Kwame stated that he has no misunderstanding with Guru, adding that the rapper remains one of his favourite artistes.

“The last time I met Guru was about a week ago, and we hugged for about two hours. I love him so much… what makes you think Guru and I are not on good terms?" he quizzed.

According to him, it was Obrafour who sparked tension by composing a diss track against him and featuring Guru, something he found unwarranted at the time.

Okyeame Kwame further noted that the only person he was upset with was Obrafour.

“The only person I was angry with was Obrafour because he was my close friend and also a senior colleague. I never got angry with Guru because if I were in his shoes, I would have done the same thing, maybe even more,” he said.

What caused the tension between Okyeame Kwame, Guru, and Obrafour

The rift between Okyeame Kwame and Obrafour dates back to around 2009, following the release of “Killing The Game” by Okyeame Kwame and Obour.

According to Okyeame Kwame, the song was intended to address challenges facing the Hiplife industry at the time.

However, Obrafour, who may have misunderstood the message, later featured Guru on the much-talked-about track “Nkasiebo.”

Okyeame Kwame stated that he felt disappointed by Obrafour’s actions, as he believed the song contained indirect jabs at him.
