King Promise won the TGMA 2025 Artiste of the Year
Ghanaian artiste and reigning Artiste of the Year, King Promise, has expressed strong confidence in his ability to reclaim the topmost award in the country multiple times.
Speaking in an interview on 3FM on April 15, 2026, the award-winning singer revealed that his recent low visibility in award schemes was a deliberate decision, as he had not released new music for consideration.
“I hadn’t released anything recently, so I wasn’t going for any nominations or whatsoever. When the new project comes, everyone is going to see it,” he said.
According to King Promise, his focus has been on working behind the scenes on a major project, which he believes will make a significant impact when it is released.
“I’ve been working on a project that we have out now, at a point in time, it was my main focus, but I’ve been working on something crazy that’s coming out soon,” he stated.

The singer also emphasized that his approach to music is driven by passion rather than awards, noting that he does not create songs simply to win accolades.
“For me, music can’t be overly calculated. It has to come from somewhere that’s really special. I’m not making music for awards,” he shared.
He continued, “It’s not because I’ve won an award, so I have to go make music by all means. I appreciate the awards, I cherish it but whatever comes for you to see me worthy of these awards has to be special.”
King Promise maintained that he is confident in his craft and the quality of music he is preparing, boldly stating that he sees himself winning Artiste of the Year again in the future.
“I don’t think there will be a case where I won’t win Artiste of the Year ever again. I do believe that with what I have coming, I could be the Artiste of the Year again and again,” he added.
