Archbishop Dr Charles Agyinasare (L) says mentoring Daniel Obinim (R) was a waste of time
Founder of Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Dr Charles Agyinasare, has reflected on what led him to stop mentoring popular Prophet Daniel Obinim.
In an interview with Borla Ray shared on social media on April 17, 2026, Archbishop Agyinasare said he felt his efforts and guidance in Bishop Obinim’s life were going to waste.
He explained that Bishop Obinim, who initially approached him to be groomed, later showed a lack of seriousness, which influenced his decision to withdraw.

“I thought I could make an impact in his life because he sought me out. But with time, I realised that the water I was pouring was going into a sieve, so I decided to pull back,” he said.
The comment by Archbishop Agyinasare has since sparked mixed reactions on social media.
While some netizens are questioning his decision, others have criticised him, arguing that stepping away from mentoring was not a Christ-like action.
