Music critic and commentator Steve Owusu, aka Shishishi Man
Music critic and commentator Steve Owusu, popularly known as The Shishishi Man, has praised Sarkodie's relentless work ethic while pushing back on suggestions that the rapper has outgrown competitive award categories and should instead receive legendary recognition.
Speaking on the TGMA Countdown show on GhanaWeb TV with Elsie Lamar, Shishishi Man said Sarkodie deserved his flowers for consistently showing up year after year with new music, events and concerts.
"Let's give him his flowers. Sarkodie is one artiste that you see him year by year trying to make something. You'll see a song there, see his event, Rapperholic back to back, and last year he did two concerts in Accra and Kumasi and it was massive. Sarkodie is one artiste that every year he doesn't sleep, he works," he said.

However, when asked whether Sarkodie and Shatta Wale had outgrown their current award categories and deserved legendary honours instead, Shishishi Man was firm in his disagreement.
"They are not yet at the legendary. No, no, no. As time goes on, they will get there. You can't be legendary after just 15 years in music," he said.
He acknowledged that impact matters in determining legendary status, but insisted that longevity in years was equally important, and that it was simply too soon for that conversation.
"The impact matters. But the years also matter. Let us wait," Shishishi Man concluded.
