Bernice Ansah is a Ghanaian gospel singer
Gospel musician Bernice Ansah has expressed disappointment over what she describes as being sidelined by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) after actively supporting the party during the 2024 election campaign.
Speaking in an interview on ATV, she said that despite her involvement in campaigning for the party’s return to power, she has not been engaged for any official NDC event since the party assumed office.
“When they host any event, they don’t call me. After we won power till date, there is no event they have organised and invited me. I have lobbied and asked why they don’t book me, and some people told me they have their choice of musicians,” she said.

Bernice Ansah explained that her expectations were based on the level of commitment she showed during the election period, including her participation in rallies and campaign activities.
She noted that she made several personal sacrifices, including dedicating time to spiritual preparations such as extended fasting and all-night prayers ahead of the elections.
According to her, she and others who supported the party spiritually and physically believed their efforts would be acknowledged after victory, especially through opportunities to perform at party-related events.
She also recounted moments during the campaign where she performed under difficult circumstances, including occasions where she went straight from prayer sessions to political rallies without resting or bathing.
She added that while other musicians are engaged for such events, she has been left out, which she finds unfair considering her involvement during the campaign.
“I am not asking for money from anyone. As a gospel musician, all I want is to be included among the artistes engaged for programmes by the NDC,” she said.
Bernice Ansah clarified that her concerns are not directed at the President but rather at individuals within the party responsible for organising events and selecting performers.
She urged them to recognise her contributions and ensure fair inclusion in future party programmes.
