Father of young Ghanaian musician accused of beating wife

Kallai Nana Qwaachi, popularly known as Qwaachi Classic and father of young Ghanaian musician Fotocopy, has allegedly assaulted his wife, Theresa, leaving her with bruises on her mouth.

On April 19, 2026, Theresa shared a video on social media showing the bruise, which reports say was the result of an alleged beating by her husband.

According to reports by Gossip 24 TV, when police officers visited the couple’s home in Kasoa on April 20, 2026, Qwaachi Classic was not at home and is believed to be lodging at a hotel.

He is also alleged to have seized Theresa’s phone and locked her in a room before leaving the house, with police arriving later at the residence.

One of the couple’s children, in an interview on TikTok, disclosed that the alleged assault on April 19 was not the first time Qwaachi Classic had physically abused their mother, claiming that it happens occasionally.

One of the children said the incident began as an argument in the evening before escalating into a fight, during which Qwaachi allegedly assaulted Theresa.

“It was like an argument, and it turned into a fight. Then my dad beat my mom. This is not the first time; it happens once in a while. If my dad does something and my mom does not like it, then he will be beating her. When he is beating her, she tries to defend herself, but this time she wasn’t able to defend herself,” the child narrated.

Police have since invited both parties to report for investigations so inquiries into the matter can begin.
