Enam Music is a Ghanaian Afro-spiritualist singer
Ghanaian Afro-spiritualist singer Enam Music has opened up about her spiritual journey, revealing that she no longer attends church and now identifies as a traditionalist.
Speaking in a recent interview on Max TV, Enam explained that although she used to be very active in church while growing up, she no longer sees religion as the main determinant of a person’s spiritual life.
According to her, she was heavily involved in Christianity during her younger years and even took part in evangelism.
“I’m so connected to my source. I used to go to church, but I don’t go anymore. Some part of my growing up did a lot of churching. Talk about the denominations. I’ve been to almost all sides in Christianity and even did evangelism,” she said.
The singer further stated that she believes religion has little to do with how successful or fulfilled a person becomes in life.
She noted that Christians, Muslims and traditionalists are all capable of doing well in life, insisting that religion mainly gives people a sense of belonging and community.

“Christians are doing good in life, that means they’re not just making up stuff. There are other Traditionalists and Muslims who are also doing good in life,” she shared.
She continued, “Religion hasn’t got anything to do with all of this; it’s just that thing which is there for people to belong to a society or have an organization that they could go to.”
Enam Music added that spirituality is a personal journey, which influenced her decision to become a traditionalist.
“When it comes to spirituality, it comes down to you. That’s why I decided on what to practice, not because I’m going to trash other people. I’m a traditionalist now,” she noted.
The musician stressed that she has no regrets about her years in church, where she used to sing and participate in other activities.
“I used to sing and do other things for the church, but I don’t regret it. In fact, I can go to the church today if I feel like I want to go to church and nothing will happen to me,” she added.
