Clinton Joshua is a Nollywood actor and a fashion model
Nollywood actor Clinton Joshua Ezewele has disclosed why he has chosen not to engage in kissing scenes in movies, stressing that the decision is intentional and career-driven.
Speaking in an interview on TVC on April 22, 2026, Clinton Joshua explained that he is mindful of the risk of being stereotyped in the film industry.
“I don’t kiss in films because this is Nollywood and I feel like when you’re doing that and they see that you’re good at something, producers would likely give you the same role over and over again,” he said.
According to him, avoiding such roles is part of a broader strategy to maintain versatility and avoid being boxed into a particular image.
“I didn’t want to be boxed in a certain way. I didn’t want to half the girls in Nollywood, so I decided not to do it at all,” he stated.

Beyond acting, Clinton Joshua also spoke about his journey into film production, revealing that the move was inspired by guidance from a mentor who believed he was ready to take the next step.
“One of my mentors and producers was the one who spoke to me about producing. He said he thinks I’m ready, so I had to think about it. I looked into it, realised I was ready, and I started,” he shared.
He noted that although his production journey has been promising, he recently took a step back to reconnect with his creative inspiration.
“It’s going well, but I took a step back because I wasn’t feeling inspired. I don’t want to put movies out there just for the money. I want to do it from a place of genuine art. I really believe in the craft. As I’m making money, let’s also do something good,” he added.
