Black Stars keeper Benjamin Asare has been spotted with Shatta Wale's mother
The goalkeeper of the Black Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak, Benjamin Asare, has been spotted enjoying time at Labadi Beach in Accra with Elsie Avemegah, the mother of Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.
The famous shot-stopper, who has long been an outspoken disciple of the Shatta Wale brand, seems to be taking his devotion to the “Gringo” hitmaker a step further by showing love to the woman who started it all.
In a viral video captured by Hotfmghana, Benjamin Asare, swapping his goalkeeper gloves for casual beach attire, was seen engaged in an animated and respectful conversation with Shatta Mama.

Clad in a vibrant red outfit, the mother of the dancehall King appeared relaxed as she shared a moment with one of the Ghana Premier League’s most prominent figures.
By spending quality time with Shatta Mama at one of Accra’s most iconic landmarks, Benjamin Asare is proving that his connection to the movement isn’t just about the music; it’s about family.
