In new testament, where christianity was born, from Jesus, apostles to Paul and all the rest who accepted to believe in gospel never paid tithes, never preached nor commanded christians to pay tithes. People are now talking about tithes because it's not a christian practice and not biblical and again the fear put in their church members that if you don't pay tithe, your business or anything you do won't prosper or you won't succeed in life.
