Black Sherif is a Ghanaian musician
Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has opened up about the dedication and hard work that went into his “Iron Boy” project, revealing that he and his team barely took any breaks during its production.
Speaking during a discussion on Onua Show Time on May 4, 2026, the award-winning artiste disclosed that work on the project began as far back as November 2022.
“I started working on the Iron Boy project in November 2022. The following year, in May, when I won Artiste of the Year, I was still working hard,” he said.
According to him, despite achieving major recognition, including winning Artiste of the Year, he remained focused and committed to his craft.
“My team and I didn’t rest during that period. When we woke up in the morning, we were always thinking of how to approach the lyrics and videos. Some would be learning the instruments, and others would also be doing their own thing. Music was always around us,” he explained.

Black Sherif further emphasized his deep passion for music, describing himself and his team as not just lovers of music but also deeply curious about its structure and impact.
“We love music, and we love artistes. We are excited about where music as a subject or interest for kids will go. Aside from enjoying music, we are also nerds about music. There are things we are inquisitive about. How to determine music we can dance to and why we get emotions whenever music is played,” he stated.
He shared that although many people study music academically, not everyone is able to tap into the natural talent and resources he believes he has been blessed with.
“People go to school for four years just to learn music, but some don’t get the resource that God has blessed us with. That’s why I don’t play with the opportunities and resources God has blessed me with. We’re making the best out of what God has given to me,” he added.
