Gospel musician Francis Amo has revealed plans to organise a street gospel jam with dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM on May 5, 2026, Francis Amo disclosed that his relationship with Shatta Wale dates back to his early days in Accra.

“When I came to Accra, I decided not to let anyone know that I can sing. I met Shatta Wale in Korle Gonno. He’s my good friend and he’s one of the Hiplife artistes I love so much,” he said.

According to him, he often spent time with the artiste during those early days, sometimes joining him for jogging sessions.

“I saw him training every day and I sometimes join him to jog in the evenings. At that time, he had dropped Bandana already, so I met him before his comeback as Shatta Wale,” he recounted.

Francis Amo further revealed that he is planning a unique gospel outreach with the dancehall artiste, aimed at taking gospel music to the streets.

“I plan to host a street gospel jam with him. We would put on singlets and shorts to roam in town. The jam will definitely come on,” he stated.

He also spoke about Shatta Wale’s spiritual side, noting that despite public perception, the artiste has a strong connection to his faith.

“He used to go to church so he would be able to jam to gospel. He prays a lot, but people don’t know and it’s not easy for someone to bring him down without him rising again. He’s protected with the things of God,” he added.
