From Rap to Gospel: Here are the artistes expected to perform at 2026 TGMAs

The 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards is almost here and ahead of what promises to be Ghana's biggest music night of the year, organisers Charterhouse have pulled back the curtain on the artistes who will be performing on the night.

Scheduled for Saturday, May 9,2026, the ceremony will bring together some of the most prominent names in Ghanaian music for a night of electrifying performances and competitive wins.

Leading the lineup are R2Bees, the iconic Ghanaian duo whose influence on Afrobeats and hiplife spans well over a decade.

Joining them are Lasmid, Wendy Shay and gospel star Piesie Esther.

Rap heavyweights Medikal and Black Sherif are also on the bill with Nigerian artiste Fido representing the international market.

The annual awards scheme, organised by Charterhouse, celebrates outstanding achievements across Ghana's various music genres.

This year's edition is expected to be particularly competitive, with the Artiste of the Year category drawing the most attention as Black Sherif, Medikal, and Wendy Shay all enter the night with strong cases for the coveted prize.

With a stacked performance lineup and a fiercely contested awards race, TGMA27 is shaping up to be a night Ghanaian music fans will not want to miss.
