Pastor at Royal House Chapel and Royal Ladies founder, Rita Korankye Ankrah
Apostle Rita Korankye Ankrah has shared what she describes as the critical spiritual responsibility of mothers, warning that failure to pray for one’s children could have devastating consequences.
In an interview with MzGee, the Royal Ladies founder emphasised that motherhood goes beyond physical care and extends deeply into spiritual covering.
“If you don’t pray for your children, you will kill their destinies… you will kill their future,” she said.
She further suggested that spiritual negligence could expose children to unseen dangers.
“If you don’t pray, somebody can exchange the destiny of your child,” she added.
Korankye Ankrah stressed that mothers have a unique spiritual authority, particularly because of their connection to childbirth.
“You can never underestimate the prayer of a mother,” she noted. “If you go on your knees and lift your children before God, you will get results.”
According to her, intentional and specific prayers—rather than general ones—are key.
“You don’t just say, ‘I pray for my family.’ Take your children one by one and commit them into the hands of God,” she advised.
She also encouraged mothers to speak deliberately over their children’s futures.
“Whatever you declare over their lives… it shall come to pass. It’s not an easy journey. Sometimes it’s lonely, sometimes it’s full of mistakes,” she said.
Despite the challenges, she maintained that spiritual responsibility remains central to raising children successfully.
“If you are a mother and you haven’t seen the importance of prayer for your children, then you are missing a major part of your assignment,” she added.
