'Good luck to all nominees and winners' – Sarkodie ahead of TGMA

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has sent a goodwill message to all artistes ahead of the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

In a post on X shortly before the show, the rapper labelled the night as “one of the greatest nights in Ghanaian music.”

“Congrats to all the nominees and winners tonight! Good luck to us all… Big shouts to @CharterhouseGH,” he posted.

Meanwhile, the post has since garnered reactions from fans who seconded to it.

Meanwhile, Sarkodie remains the most decorated artiste in the history of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards and has won the coveted Artiste of the Year title twice.

However, his most recent victory in the category came in 2012, with 14 years of subsequent nominations failing to yield a third crown.

In recent years, the awards scheme has largely rewarded artistes who dominated the charts, maintained strong streaming numbers, and major cultural impact, rather than just legacy.
