'It's Blacko's year' - James Gardiner endorses Black Sherif at TGMAs

Popular Ghanaian actor and producer James Gardiner has thrown his support behind Black Sherif ahead of tonight’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), noting that he deserves to win

Speaking on the red carpet with Ghanaweb’s Issac Dadzie, James Gardiner stated that although he is not a musician, he attended the event to enjoy the atmosphere and have fun just as he’s done over the years.

However, when asked about his biggest pick for the night, the actor confidently named Black Sherif as his top choice.

According to him, the “Iron Boy” hitmaker has put in immense work over the past year, making him a strong contender for the top awards on the night.

James Gardiner praised Black Sherif’s album success, international tours, concerts, and overall impact in the music industry, noting that all these achievements place him in a deserving position to emerge victorious.

“Honestly, I think it’s Blacko’s year. Amazing album, the songs were fire, music videos, he's traveling, he’s making Ghana proud. It’s his year,” he said.

Black Sherif is one of the strongest contenders at this year’s TGMA, earning multiple nominations, including the coverted Artiste of the Year, and Album of the Year.
