Choirmaster is unable to take calls after his wife’s demise, family appeals for privacy
Family of musician Eugene Baah, widely known as Choirmaster, has announced that the singer is currently receiving medical care and unable to take calls following the passing of his wife, actress Beverly Afaglo.
A statement dated May 27, 2026, written on behalf of Choirmaster and endorsed by the family, confirmed his condition while appealing for privacy during this difficult period.
The family expressed gratitude for the support received during this difficult time, saying the family are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and condolences from friends, fans, and well-wishers.
The statement indicated that Choirmaster is receiving medical care and cannot take calls, and pleaded with the media and the public to refrain from direct contact with the widower and to also avoid speculation.

It further indicated that details regarding any public memorial will be shared at the appropriate time.
The late actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo died after a two-year battle with cancer, her manager, Abu Iddris, disclosed.
Speaking in an interview with Ghana Weekend on May 24, 2026, Abu Iddris revealed that the actress died at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema.
“She’s been battling cancer for two years. It’s been a relentless war. She really fought hard, and this is where it ended,” he said.
According to him, the cancer started as breast cancer but later spread due to its genetic nature.
