'Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and I will fly together for a show abroad' – Shatta Wale

Flying together on a private jet from Ghana to Europe for a show is something Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale hopes will one day happen with Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Medikal.

Speaking to EIB Digital about the rivalry, tension, and controversies between himself and Stonebwoy, which he admitted sometimes make people around both camps feel unsafe, the “Melissa” hitmaker stressed that he has no issue with any artiste in the Ghanaian music scene, describing Stonebwoy as a “brother.”

The Dancehall musician explained that he now has a changed mindset “because he wants to build” and would love his colleagues to join hands with him so they can build together.

He acknowledged that excessive rivalry, tension, and people feeling unsafe do not make competition in the industry healthy.

“I don’t have any problem with any artiste. You know, Stonebwoy is like a brother to me. Same as Sarkodie. I’ve had issues with Sarkodie and now we’re talking. I’m even going to London; he’s waiting for me.

“So all of them are my brothers. I feel it’s about education around what we are doing, and I believe I have a changed mindset because I want to build. So if he also wants to build, we should come together and build. Too much rivalry, too much tension, and people feeling like they are not safe doesn’t make this thing healthy,” he explained.

Shatta Wale further noted that if his colleagues also have a changed mindset, they can sit down and work, as he expressed his desire to one day travel abroad with them for shows, rather than going alone.

“So I believe if he has this change of mindset, we can sit down and work. Once upon a time, it should be me, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Medikal in a jet, flying to go and do a show. It shouldn’t be only me,” he added.

On May 27, 2026, he flew out from Accra, Ghana, on a private jet to London, UK, for activities including promotion and preparation ahead of his ShattaFest UK concert scheduled for August 1, 2026.
