Webkid’s family should plead with Stonebwoy to settle out of court - Showboy

Following the arrest of blogger and staunch Shatta Movement supporter, Webkid, for allegedly abusing Dancehall musician Stonebwoy and his family, Showboy has established that Stonebwoy has effectively ended the blogger’s career.

Speaking during a TikTok live session, Showboy stated that, based on his personal experience, Webkid could be remanded for about a year if he is not fortunate, as new charges could be added each time he appears in court.

He also noted that even if Webkid secures bail and is released, the attention around him will likely last only about a week before everything dies down.

The musician and social commentator further advised that Webkid should involve his family in going to plead with Stonebwoy and his household for forgiveness so the matter can be settled outside court.

Otherwise, he warned, pursuing the legal route could see him being used as a scapegoat in a cybercrime case.

Webkid denied bail again, faces two new charges

“He should forget about a lawyer and go ask for forgiveness. He should get his family to plead with Stonebwoy and his wife to intervene on his behalf. A lawyer will not help him. You cannot give Stonebwoy money because he is already rich and well-connected.

“This is about seeking forgiveness, not the noise Shatta was making online. By now, Webkid’s social media pages should be active, putting out apologies,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Webkid, who was arrested following a defamation and publication of false news complaint filed by Stonebwoy, has been denied bail twice.

His original charge sheet was withdrawn and replaced with a new one containing two additional counts.

He now faces six charges in total and has spent close to a month in custody without the opportunity to mount a defence.
