Agya Koo is a renowned Ghanaian actor
Ghanaian Kumawood actor Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo, has offered some advice to the youth of Ghana.
In a video shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb on May 29, 2026, Agya Koo stated that it is time for young people to venture into farming.
According to the acclaimed actor, farming is a lucrative business, and the youth should not spend their productive years idling in the cities.
He explained that it would be more beneficial for young people to return to their villages and engage in farming activities.
Agya Koo's 'Base Movement' case adjourned to May 15
His comments came after he expressed disappointment over the price of roasted corn during a trip.
“I am almost at Konongo, and I was craving corn, so we decided to buy some. They sold it to us for GH¢5.
“To all the young ladies and gentlemen currently living in Kumasi and Accra, I would advise you to go back to your villages and plead with your grandparents, parents, or uncles to give you a piece of land to farm. You can venture into maize farming, ginger farming, or cassava farming,” he said.
Agya Koo further advised the youth to reduce their eagerness to travel abroad in search of greener pastures and instead focus on building sustainable livelihoods in Ghana.

“To those young people who want to travel to Libya, Qatar, and other countries, I say, go back to your villages and farm. You do not have to rush through life.
“If travelling abroad is not going to help you, then return to your village and start farming,” he added.
