Ghanaian actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has publicly expressed her disappointment over comments directed to her by panelists during a podcast hosted by Shatta Wale’s PR, Sammy Baah Flex.
Recently on Sammy Flex’s podcast, McBrown’s earlier comments that TGMAs should pay her for red carpet appearances was discussed.
There, some panelists criticised her for raising unrealistic standards and somewhat being overly proud.

But reacting to this, McBrown has Described such comments as disrespectful. She has insisted that she deserves respect for her immense contributions to Ghana’s entertainment industry.
Speaking passionately on her Onua Showtime program, McBrown did not hide her frustration as she outrightly addressed Sammy Flex.
McBrown stated, “I met Sammy Flex in UK and told him, Sammy you are not an industry person so you don’t sit on your podcast and misinterpret what I said. McBrown, herrr put some respect on this name, ok. I have played a lot of roles for the industry to be where it is today, that you even have the chance to sit on a podcast. When you’re talking about me, know where you’re coming from. If you’re in my lane you can speak about me, but if you’re far away, shut up and respect me.”
She explained that whenever she has an issue with someone, she prefers addressing it face-to-face rather than speaking behind their back.
“I said it to his face, you no I don’t speak behind peoples back. I say it to their face,” she added
The actress and television host maintained that her confrontation with Sammy Flex was respectful but necessary, as she wanted clarity on why she had become a topic of discussion on his platform.
“I met Sammy Flex in the UK and asked what I did wrong for him and his team to talk about me on their podcast. I told him to respect my name because I’ve contributed a lot to the industry. If you’re not in my lane, don’t speak on me.
