'You are hypocritical' - Tornado fires Stonebwoy over Shatta Wale, Sarkodie 'jab'

Ghanaian socialite, Tornado, has shared his thoughts on the recent social media backlash sparked by a post from dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.

Stonebwoy recently took to X to comment on what he described as hypocrisy and pretence within the creative arts industry.

In the post, he appeared to take a swipe at fellow musicians Shatta Wale and Sarkodie after the two were seen performing together at Kweku Smoke’s highly anticipated concert in the United Kingdom on May 29, 2026.

According to Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, and Sarkodie's friendship is based on mere pretence.

“These two guys have been faking it with each other based on interests and timing. Convenient friendship. Even the devil hates that,” his post read.

Reacting to the comment in a video that has since gone viral, Tornado defended Shatta Wale and Sarkodie, arguing that Stonebwoy is being hypocritical.

Tornado alleged that Stonebwoy once ignored him at a public event and acted as though they had never met, despite their long-standing acquaintance.

“You are someone I know very well, and you know me too. When you became Stonebwoy, Dosty called you, and we had a three-way conversation. You are not somebody I don’t know, but whenever you see me, you act as if you don’t know me.

“You came to a nightclub in Osu, and when you arrived, you pretended not to know me until the event was over. Two days later, you went to Philip Brobbey’s house, and when he asked whether you knew me, that was when you said, ‘Abi Tornado diɛ, everybody know am,” he claimed.

Sarkodie's cryptic post sparks reactions after Stonebwoy's post

Tornado further praised Shatta Wale and Sarkodie, describing them as people who do not pretend when interacting with others.

“Shatta Wale is not someone who will act as if he doesn’t know you. Sarkodie will also speak to you. You are the fake one. The whole world should know that Stonebwoy is a hypocrite,” he alleged.
