Fashionista and entrepreneur, Osebo the Zaraman, has advised the family of the late Ghanaian innovator and cleric, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, to set aside their differences and focus on giving him a befitting burial.

Osebo’s concerns come amid growing controversies surrounding his funeral arrangements.

Recently, a video surfaced on social media in which an individual identified as Dr Philip Kissi Siaw, co-chairman of the funeral committee, alleged that the extended family of the late Apostle Safo Kantanka had not been consulted about the newly announced burial dates.

He also claimed that some family members were unaware of where the late Safo Kantanka’s body was being kept, despite his wish that his body should not remain in a morgue for an extended period or undergo an autopsy.

Reacting to the issue, which has generated widespread discussion on social media, Osebo the Zaraman stated that it was inappropriate for the family to air their grievances in public.

According to him, the ongoing public dispute is doing more harm to the legacy and reputation of Apostle Safo Kantanka than to his daughter, Sarah Adwoa Safo.

“We are one family, so it is not right for us to wash our dirty laundry in public. This is not a matter that should be discussed on social media. You may think you are embarrassing Adwoa Safo, but you are rather causing more damage to Apostle Safo's reputation,” he said.

Osebo further urged the family members in Asumenya and other relatives to prioritise giving the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka a dignified farewell and resolve their disagreements privately afterwards.

“I have personally come to your house, cried, and pleaded with you to stop putting these issues on social media. Why can't you reflect on the life Apostle Safo lived and refrain from making these public posts?

“I am still on my knees begging you. You are the elders, and Adwoa is your daughter. If she has done something wrong, you can forgive her and come together to organise a befitting burial for Apostle Safo,” he added.
