Why give him the platform? - DJ Slim asks Kweku Smoke over Shatta Wale's invite

Media personality, DJ Slim, has taken a swipe at Ghanaian artiste Kweku Smoke after he featured dancehall musician Shatta Wale at his recent concert in the United Kingdom.

In a TikTok video shared on June 2, 2026, DJ Slim questioned Kweku Smoke’s decision to allow Shatta Wale to perform at the event.

According to him, Kweku Smoke and Shatta Wale have had an unpleasant history, which allegedly resulted in physical altercations involving Kweku Smoke and members of his team; therefore, he believes it was inappropriate to feature the dancehall artiste on such a platform.

“I am disappointed in Kweku Smoke for allowing Shatta Wale on his platform. I have a personal issue with Kweku Smoke.

“If Kweku Smoke claims he is a real artiste, he wouldn’t allow the person who caused him harm that night onto his stage. Do you know his manager was slapped that day?” he said.

DJ Slim further addressed another issue, revealing that Kweku Smoke had expressed displeasure with him for not including him in discussions surrounding the TGMAs.

Slim, however, expressed disappointment in the rapper, stressing that he had no valid reason to be upset since he(Kweku Smoke) had previously stated he was not interested in the awards.

According to DJ Slim, he found it difficult to understand why Smoke would feel offended for being left out of his commentary.

“Kweku Smoke says he is angry with me because I made a post about the TGMAs and didn’t include him. Meanwhile, he was the one who said he was not interested in any award.

“I would have included Kweku Smoke in the tweet Stonebwoy made about Sarkodie and Shatta Wale if I were the one, because I am disappointed in him,” he added.
