Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as LilWin, has won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the just-ended Ghana Movie Awards.
LilWin secured the award for his outstanding performance in the movie Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
The 15th edition of the awards ceremony was held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City.
Receiving the award on behalf of LilWin, a member of the actor’s team, expressed appreciation to fans and supporters for standing by him throughout his journey.
“We want to thank Ghanaians for the support you have given him from the beginning of his journey until now. We are grateful. He is deeply committed to producing movies every year and making history for Ghana,” the recipient of the award said.

The awards ceremony attracted several notable figures in the entertainment industry, including Jackie Appiah, James Gardiner, and Nana Ama McBrown, among others.
Also at the event, Nana Ama McBrown won Favourite Movie Actress of the Year, while Dr Likee was honoured for his outstanding contributions to the Ghanaian film industry.
