Ghanaian rapper Joey B has disclosed that a certain action by his colleague D-Black caused him to lose some respect for him, although he insists he still holds no hatred toward the artiste.
Speaking in an interview on 3Music on June 10, 2026, Joey B revealed that the issue between them was related to music but declined to disclose the exact details.
According to him, their once-close relationship has now become cordial, with the two only exchanging greetings whenever they meet.
“D-Black did something recently that made me lose some respect for him. I can’t even say it, but I still love him. Our relationship now is more like just cordial. When we see each other, we just exchange pleasantries,” he said.
Joey B shared that he believes D-Black is fully aware of what happened and the impact it had on him.
D-Black explains why he backed Joey B early in his career
He maintained that he still respects D-Black and has no intention of dwelling on the incident, choosing instead to focus on forgiveness and moving forward.
“I know he definitely knows why, but it’s all good. Something happened between both of us and it’s music-related. I respect him regardless and I’ve also understood what forgiveness is, so I’ve moved past that,” he stated.
The rapper further noted that while he has chosen to forgive and move on, he expects that anyone who hurts another person should be conscious of their actions.
“I’m saying he’s aware of what he did because he’s a human and when you hurt someone, you should know,” he added.
