‘Make him Nigeria’s president’ — Parrot Mouth praises Jeffrey Nortey after successful show

Nigerian comedian Parrot Mouth has showered praise on Ghanaian actor and comedian Jeffrey Nortey following his successful ‘3 Faces of Jeffrey Nortey’ comedy show held at the National Theatre.

Speaking after the event, Parrot Mouth described Jeffrey as a unique talent who has the ability to elevate any production with his creativity and exceptional writing skills.

“For Jeffrey, Jeffrey is that guy. When you say you want to do this, expect something from him, you’ll always get the best from Jeffrey,” he said.

The Nigerian comedian revealed that he was amazed by Jeffrey’s performance on the night, stating that despite there being a planned structure for the show, Jeffrey took it to an entirely different level.

“I was not expecting some of the things he did because there was a script on what he should do, and what he should not do, but the guy just took the show to a different level,” he stated.

Parrot Mouth humorously appealed to Ghanaians to cherish and protect Jeffrey’s talent, joking that Nigeria would gladly welcome him because of his brilliance.

“Please help us beg Jeffrey to be president of Nigeria and take Tinubu. I don’t need Mahama again, I need Jeffrey now. Because the way Jeffrey can rhyme things, he can rhyme Nigeria to become Ghana,” he joked.

He also commended Ghana’s rapidly growing comedy scene while acknowledging Nigeria’s strong reputation in the industry.

“When it comes to comedy, Nigeria is comedy, but Ghana is rising. Ghana is coming and we are waiting for them to take over,” he said.

Expressing his appreciation for the warm reception he received from Ghanaians, Parrot Mouth said the love shown to him had even influenced his personal decision to marry a Ghanaian woman.

“As you showed me love, I have made up my mind that I will marry a Ghanaian,” he said.

He concluded by thanking Ghanaians for supporting Jeffrey Nortey and wished peace and prosperity for the country.

“I want to say, Ghana, thank you for coming and supporting Jeffrey. God bless Ghana, God bless Africa,” he added.
