Scores of personalities within Ghana's entertainment ecosystem have celebrated the Black Stars' 1-0 victory over Panama as Ghana kicked off its 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign in style in a Group L encounter.

From media personalities and musicians to actors, actresses, video directors, and content creators, many figures within the entertainment industry took to social media to express their excitement and pride following the team's hard-fought victory.

Among the first to react was dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, who had predicted during the match, when the scores were level, that Ghana would eventually secure a narrow win.

Following the final whistle, his prediction proved accurate as the Black Stars snatched victory in dramatic fashion.

In celebration, Shatta Wale announced plans to release a motivational song for Ghanaians and the national team.

Rapper Kojo Cue also joined the celebrations, praising the collective effort of the team while highlighting the performances of Brandon Thomas-Asante, Caleb Yirenkyi, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

According to him, their determination and commitment played a crucial role in securing the victory.

Several other notable personalities from the entertainment and media space also celebrated the memorable result.

Musicians including Cina Soul, Kwesi Arthur, Kweku Flick, M.anifest, Mr Eazi, D-Black, Peter Okoye, Stonebwoy, Lasmid, Medikal, and King Promise shared congratulatory messages, while media personalities Nana Aba Anamoah, Berla Mundi, and DJ Slim expressed their excitement over the win.

Actress Joselyn Dumas, socialite Efia Odo, celebrity chef Chef Abbys, video director Babs Direction, and sound engineer Streebeatz, alongside DJ Neptune and several other creatives, also joined thousands of Ghanaians online in celebrating the Black Stars' spirited performance.

However, Ghana's victory on the pitch was not the only win for the country on the night. Ghanaian music also enjoyed a moment on the global stage as popular songs from Ghanaian creatives echoed throughout the packed BMO Field in Toronto.

Songs including DopeNation's *Kakalika* and Stonebwoy's *GIDI GIDI (Fire)* blasted through the stadium speakers, creating an electrifying atmosphere among the more than 42,000 fans in attendance.

Caleb Yirenkyi finished off a sweeping counterattack with a simple tap-in in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time to secure the victory for Ghana.

The late goal handed Ghana a last-gasp victory over Panama in rainy Toronto, sending supporters both inside the stadium and across the world into wild celebrations.
