'You people destroyed my marriage' - Bishop Obinim blames third parties

In the ongoing marital dispute between the founder of International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim and gospel singer Florence Obinim, the former has suggested that third parties have destroyed his marriage.

In a TikTok video sighted by GhanaWeb on June 20, 2026, an emotional Bishop Obinim accused external parties, including Prophet Ogyaba and another individual known as Night Witch, of effectively causing the collapse of his marriage, leaving him with little to say about the situation.

According to Obinim, he has never publicly stated that he wants a divorce from his wife, Florence Obinim.

He noted that he even vowed before his congregation that he would never divorce her but believes external parties have already destroyed the marriage.

The International God's Way Church founder further stated that it hurts him deeply that Florence took their marital issues to Prophet Ogyaba, someone she knows is his enemy.

“You people have destroyed my marriage. I never stood anywhere and said I wanted to divorce my wife. Even in church, I vowed never to divorce her, but you have already gone ahead and ruined the marriage. Florence now belongs to you people, not me anymore. I have spoken to my children about the situation,” Obinim said.

However, gospel musician Florence Obinim has also indicated in an interview with GhPage that she is open to divorce should her husband, Daniel Obinim, decide to formally end their 22-year marriage.

Her comments come after Bishop Obinim publicly disclosed his frustrations with the marriage, claiming he has reached a point where he feels scared of his wife and becomes agitated whenever he has to return home.
