Founder and leader of the International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has launched a blistering attack on fellow preacher Prophet Ogyaba, accusing him of disrespect and declaring what he described as a "spiritual fight" between them.

Speaking in a video shared on social media on June 20, 2026, Obinim expressed disappointment over what he perceives as Ogyaba's continued disregard for him despite his decision to remain silent on issues involving the preacher.

According to Obinim, he has refrained from responding to Ogyaba out of respect for some influential individuals who advised him to stay away from public confrontations. However, he said the persistent disrespect has forced him to break his silence.

‘Return your wife to her family if you no longer love her’ – Ogyaba tells Bishop Obinim

“Ogyaba, don’t you respect your elders? Do you think I’m your equal? I’ve decided not to speak on these issues again, yet you continue to disrespect me,” he said.

The preacher stressed that he is far more experienced in ministry and claimed that his influence in both pastoral work and business surpasses that of Ogyaba.

“When it comes to pastoral work and business, I’m not your mate. If my congregation were divided into three parts, you wouldn’t even get one portion. I promised some people I respect deeply that I would never respond again, but the disrespect has become too much,” he stated.

Obinim went on to issue a stern warning to Ogyaba, declaring that their relationship had now deteriorated into open hostility.

“From today onwards, keep it in mind that you and I have a spiritual fight. I will show you that you are merely claiming to be a prophet, but I am an angel. You are not ready for what is coming,” he declared.

He further stated that he would not engage Ogyaba in a social media exchange, arguing that the latter often responds through online videos. Instead, he vowed to confront him spiritually.

“I won’t fight with you on social media because you always respond with videos. I would rather fight you spiritually, and no one can save you. Keep it in mind that we are now enemies. I have always known that you do not like me,” he said.

Obinim also recounted what he described as previous encounters with Ogyaba, claiming that the latter had reached out to him on several occasions for advice and had sought to visit his church.

According to him, despite being aware that Ogyaba allegedly disliked him, he still welcomed him and treated him like a younger brother.

“Have I ever called you to say I was coming to your house or church? Yet you called me to say you wanted to visit my church, and I agreed. You also called me seeking advice, and I spoke to you as a younger brother even though I knew you did not like me. Again, when you came to my house, my security man did not want to allow you in, but I instructed him to bring you into my hall,” he alleged.

The preacher further dragged his wife, Florence Obinim, into the controversy, expressing disappointment that she allegedly discussed issues concerning him with Ogyaba despite his warnings.

“I have sat with Florence Obinim on two occasions and told her that I knew you did not like me. It breaks my heart that I once warned Florence that you were my enemy, yet she went to complain to you about me. There are many wise and respected pastors she could have spoken to, but she chose you,” he said.

Obinim noted that he had repeatedly informed members of his church across various branches that Ogyaba did not like him and urged them to be cautious in their dealings with the preacher.

“I have told all my church members across our branches that you do not like me, so they should be careful around you. Florence was there and can testify to this,” he claimed.

He also took a swipe at Ogyaba’s marriage, claiming that he had never encountered a pastor with a more troubled marital relationship.

“I have never seen a pastor whose marriage is as troubled as yours, but your wife is not talkative,” he added.
