The Black Stars’ spirited performance against England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup has sparked excitement across Ghana’s entertainment industry, with musicians, actors, media personalities, filmmakers, and content creators flooding social media with praise following the team’s impressive 0-0 draw in Boston.

Ghana produced a disciplined defensive display to frustrate one of the tournament favourites in their second Group L fixture, earning a valuable point and drawing admiration from fans and celebrities alike.

The reaction was not limited to Ghanaian stars. Several Nigerian celebrities, often affectionately referred to as Ghana’s “distant cousins”, also joined in celebrating the Black Stars’ resilient performance against England.

One player who received overwhelming praise from the entertainment community was goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.

The shot-stopper, who is known to be a proud supporter of the Shatta Movement, emerged as the standout performer of the night with a series of crucial saves that helped Ghana secure the draw.

Among those who shared their thoughts was music duo DopeNation, who urged Ghanaians to be more patient and supportive of the national team.

YouTube creator Jessica said she had never been this happy about a goalless draw until today.

“I've NEVER been this happy to get a draw in my life!! OMG! #BlackStars.”
