Ghanaian-British singer and rapper Fleur East has won over football fans with a humorous post-match review of the Ghana versus England clash which took place on June 23, 2026.
In an appearance on UK-based Hits Radio, the broadcaster and rapper delivered a creative spoken-word recap of the game, blending football commentary with references to Ghanaian culture, food, and national pride.
In the performance, Fleur East highlighted her dual allegiance to both nations, opening with the lines: "Black stars in my sky, three lions on my shirt. So for 96 minutes, yeah, my heart was getting hurt."
She went on to praise Ghana's performance, joking that while a "full English" was on the menu, Ghana ultimately "put the pepper in the jollof."
The review also featured hilarious references to saffron rice, pounded yam, and England's struggles to break down Ghana's defence.

England came into the game as favourites after beating Croatia 4-2 in their opening match, while Ghana had defeated Panama 1-0.
However, Ghana produced a disciplined defensive performance under coach Carlos Queiroz, frustrating England for the entire match. England dominated possession and created far more chances, but could not find a breakthrough.
