'Nobody in GFA has given me a dime since 2006' - Grace Ashley

Gospel musician Grace Ashley has accused the Ghana Football Association (GFA) of neglecting her despite years of patriotic service producing songs for the Black Stars.

Speaking on Joy Prime on June 24, 2026, the singer, who has produced Black Stars anthems for multiple tournaments, including World Cup campaigns dating back to 2006, said she has never received a single call or financial support from either the GFA or the government.

"Nobody calls me. I am not part of their plans," she said.

Grace Ashley blamed the situation on a culture of favouritism within Ghana's football administration, noting that even when her name comes up in relevant discussions, it is quickly dismissed.

"When you are not their favourite, you won't get considered. That is how the system here works: favouritism. Even if someone mentions your name, someone else will just brush it off.

"Nobody in the GFA can tell me he has given me a dime in support of all I've done for the Black Stars since 2006," she stated.
