Obinim rubbishes reports of living with an alleged side chick in Trassaco
The founder of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has vehemently denied claims that he purchased a mansion at Trassaco just to live there with an alleged side chick.
Speaking to his congregation on June 30, 2026, the outspoken preacher labelled the reports as baseless and declared that he has invoked a curse upon himself should the allegations prove true.
Obinim expressed that the rumours circulating on social media were fabricated to tarnish his image. To underscore his innocence, he said he had already made a solemn declaration before God, asking to be severely punished if there is any truth to the claims.
“There is a rumour that I’ve bought a mansion in Trassaco and am living there with a side chick. I told George that if the rumour is true, then the day it rains, or even if the scorching sun touches my body, God should make me seriously ill and bedridden, to the point where I can never attend church again until the day I die,” Obinim stated.

He further argued that he is too wise to engage in such behaviour, insisting that he will never purchase a house only to secretly live there with another woman.
He therefore urged his followers to disregard such reports whenever they encounter them.
Obinim’s latest statements come weeks after he moved out of his marital home amid ongoing discussions about his marriage to gospel singer Florence Obinim.
In a video that circulated on social media and was sighted by GhanaWeb on June 13, 2026, Obinim revealed that he had purchased a new house at Trassaco for $400,000 and intended to relocate there.
Explaining his decision at the time, the preacher said he intended to spend some time living alone, although he emphasised that divorce was not on his mind despite challenges in his marriage.
