Ghanaian musician Criss Waddle has expressed disappointment in Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew following what he described as the player’s shambolic performance against Colombia.

In a post shared on X on July 4, 2026, Criss Waddle noted that Jordan Ayew’s performance was below standard.

According to the musician, the Black Stars captain was more noticeable for constantly falling during the match than for making any meaningful impact.

He further questioned what Ghanaians had done to Jordan Ayew for him to put in what he described as such a poor performance against Colombia.

“Jordan alone fell like 50 times in one football match. Why, wetin we do am?” he asked.

Criss Waddle’s comment comes on the back of Ghana’s defeat to Colombia in their Round of 32 encounter at the Kansas City Stadium in the United States.

Ghana’s journey at the 2026 FIFA World Cup came to an end after the Black Stars suffered a 1-0 defeat to Colombia, ending their hopes of reaching the Round of 16 for only the second time in the country’s history.

Colombia’s Jhon Arias gave his side the lead in the 14th minute after arriving completely unmarked at the back post to sweep home a cross from the right by Luis Suárez.

The goal came just a minute after both teams were forced into early changes, with Colombia’s Jhon Córdoba and Ghana’s Marvin Senaya leaving the pitch through injury within the opening 13 minutes.

Colombia dominated the first half, with the Black Stars failing to register a single shot on target before the half-time whistle.

The second half began similarly, with Colombia danger man Luis Díaz firing wide before Black Stars goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi made a stunning save to deny Johan Mojica’s header.
