Ashis is a music executive and artiste manager
Artiste manager Ashis has shared his thoughts on the recent controversy involving Bishop Daniel Obinim and his wife, Florence Obinim, urging the outspoken preacher not to only focus on deleting controversial content but also avoid similar actions in the future.
Speaking in an interview with Ola Michael on Peace FM, Ashis addressed Obinim’s recent statement that he had deleted all the videos he shared on social media concerning the issue and would no longer speak about it.
Ashis, in response, said, “It’s not about deleting, it’s about deleting and not repeating.”

He argued that many people have become overly consumed by social media, where the pursuit of likes, clicks, and engagement often influences what they choose to share online.
“Everything is about social media. Everything is about clicks. Everything is about likes,” he remarked, noting that people now post even the most unnecessary aspects of their personal lives for public attention.
Reflecting on Bishop Obinim’s situation, Ashis suggested that certain moments in life are better kept private, warning that content shared online today could become a source of regret in the future.
He said that as people grow older, they may look back at some of their online behaviour with disappointment and embarrassment.
“You won’t be like this forever, and there are some things that, in your old age, when you see them, you’d be disgusted. So I think things should be left the way they are,” Ashis stated.
