Stonebwoy recounts how his wife was stabbed while pregnant with their daughter

Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy has opened up about one of the most difficult moments of his career, revealing that his wife, Dr Louisa, was stabbed during his 2017 Ashaiman to the World concert while she was pregnant with their daughter.

Speaking about the dangers artistes face while performing, Stonebwoy recalled that despite the frightening incident, he had no choice but to remain on stage and finish the show as his wife was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

“They cut my wife with a knife. Till today, I’ve been talking about the hazards on the job. The fans were there… what could I do? They carried her to the hospital, and I stayed there and performed the whole show before I went to see her,” he recounted.

The award-winning musician further disclosed that his wife was expecting their daughter at the time, making the ordeal even more traumatic for their family.

“At that time, she was pregnant with my daughter, you understand? And that is just an example of the things we go through as people who dedicate ourselves to serving others,” Stonebwoy added.

His revelation has sparked conversations on the risks entertainers face during live performances and the sacrifices they often make to ensure fans are not disappointed, even in the midst of personal emergencies.
