Ghanaian media personality and actress Efia Odo
Ghanaian media personality and actress Efia Odo has expressed her disappointment with many ‘businessmen’ who flaunt their wealth on social media, adding that many are being influenced by a spirit.
Her post comes following the extradition of Abu Trica to the United States on fraud related charges.
Prior to his arrest, Abu Trica was popular for flauting cars and money on his social media accounts.
Reacting in a post on X on July 10, 2026, Efia Odo said she was not surprised by Abu Trica's fate, stating that spiritual and psychological issues cause many young people to embrace the flashy lifestyles, at the risk of going straight into prison cells.

"Crazy part is these young niggas still ain't gon' learn from these cases. There's a spirit behind flexing stolen money. If your mind don't elevate before your bank account does, the money starts controlling you instead of you controlling it. That's how you go from showing off to sitting behind bars," she wrote.
Abu Trica, whose real name is Frederick Kumi, was extradited to the United States on July 9, 2026, to face charges relating to an alleged $8 million romance scam that targeted elderly Americans.
