Celestine Donkor says denying husbands sex could lead to broken marriages
Ghanaian gospel musician Celestine Donkor has advised married women not to deny their husbands sex when they express a desire for it, stressing that doing so repeatedly could have serious consequences for a marriage.
Speaking in a video shared on her social media pages, Celestine Donkor said one of the most painful experiences for a husband is approaching his wife for sex only to be rejected.
According to her, such moments can leave men emotionally hurt and frustrated, as she believes men are naturally wired to have stronger sexual desires.
“Dear married women, the most painful thing to happen to your husband is the man wanting to have sex with his wife and for the wife to say ‘I am tired’. It is so painful. The man would be angry the whole night because men are wired naturally to be awake and standing by 4am,” she said.
The gospel musician further argued that sexual arousal is a natural experience that men do not consciously choose, adding that a husband should not have to be turned away when he seeks intimacy with his wife.
She questioned who else a husband should turn to if he is unable to share that aspect of marriage with his spouse.

“It is so painful that someone that nature has not asked permission from to arouse him has come for his own wife and is being denied. If your husband shouldn't touch you, who should he go and touch?” she asked.
Celestine Donkor also cautioned that lack of sexual intimacy can create distance in their marriages.
She maintained that a broken marriage resulting from issues surrounding sex would be one of the saddest outcomes for any woman.
“The saddest thing to happen to you is to have a broken marriage because of lack of sex. When God has generously blessed you with beauty and a special hole meant to be enjoyed by your husband,” Celestine noted.
Encouraging wives to be generous with intimacy in their marriages, she urged women to see their bodies as something to be shared with their husbands rather than withheld.
According to her, consistently refusing a husband's advances could eventually lead to regret.
“Woman be generous with your body to your own husband. If you don't give it to your husband, who would you give it to? I promise you, if you keep being stingy with your body towards your own husband, one day you will regret it,” she added.
