Showboy slams Ajagurajah over ‘10% freedom chance’ claim in Abu Trica case

Ghanaian musician Showboy has criticised spiritual leader Bishop Kwabena Asiamah over his recent claims that Ghanaian socialite Abu Trica has a “10% chance” of regaining his freedom following his arrest and extradition to the United States to face alleged cyber fraud and romance scam-related charges.

In a video circulating on social media, Showboy dismissed Ajagurajah’s remarks, insisting that once a person is found guilty of an offence in the United States, they are required to serve the sentence imposed by the court.

“Someone has spent money and has been arrested, and you’re saying there’s a 10% chance and in six months he’ll be back. Stop fooling. Have you been to America before? There are no chances in America,” he said.

According to Showboy, there is nothing spiritual about facing criminal charges, stressing that legal proceedings are determined by the courts and evidence presented, not spiritual intervention.

He urged Ajagurajah to stop misleading the public by claiming there is a spiritual dimension to Abu Trica’s case, particularly his assertion that the socialite still has a 10% chance of walking free.

Showboy further explained that Abu Trica’s case would have to go through the U.S. judicial process before any sentence could be handed down if he is convicted, noting that such proceedings can take years.

“It is only in Africa that we think everything is spiritual. You think it’s easy? There’s something called court process. You could wait two years without even getting a trial date, and your lawyer would have to file for a speedy trial. That is not spiritual. You’re misleading people,” he said.

Showboy’s comments come after Ajagurajah publicly claimed that Abu Trica still has a 10% chance of avoiding conviction and could return to Ghana within six months, a prediction that has sparked widespread debate on social media.
