I never used Christ to win souls – Ajagurajah discloses

Spiritual leader Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, popularly known as Ajagurajah, has revealed that during the period he served as a charismatic pastor, he did not rely on Christ to win converts but instead operated through what he describes as the "Ajagurajah spirit."

Speaking in an interview with Roselyn Feli, Ajagurajah reflected on his past as a pastor, explaining that although he actively preached and ministered in churches, his spiritual practices were rooted in a different source.

According to him, he won many people over to Christianity during that period, but he believes it was not through the power of Christ.

He also admitted that he spoke in tongues during church services because it was a common practice among other pastors, despite not fully understanding what he was saying.

“I won a lot of souls for Christ. I spoke in tongues because everybody else was speaking in tongues, I never really understood it. I never used Christ to win souls for him. I used Ajagurajah to win souls for Christ,” he said.

Ajagurajah further explained that beneath his appearance as a charismatic pastor, he remained a spiritual leader.

According to him, the only thing that distinguished him from other spiritual practitioners at the time was his clerical appearance.

He claimed that while he publicly led Christian services and prayed in tongues, his private spiritual activities involved invoking what he calls the Ajagurajah spirit.

“At that time, I was still operating as a spiritual leader. The only difference was that I wore a suit. I would come and pray in tongues, but at night I would light candles and ring bells to invoke the Ajagurajah spirit. So, all the miracles I performed were in the name of Ajagurajah, not Christ. It is the same thing many pastors in Ghana are doing. They are not winning souls with Jesus Christ,” he disclosed.
