Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie has set social media ablaze with a brief but loaded post that has divided opinion and sparked a wave of reactions from followers and commentators alike.

In the post made on his X handle on July 14, 2026, Sarkodie shared, "If you want people to leave you alone, stay broke."

The post, which quickly racked up reactions, was interpreted in different ways by different users, with some reading it as a warning about the social consequences of success, and others taking it as a dig at those who choose comfort over ambition.
