Ghanaian music stars Stonebwoy, Fameye, DopeNation and Akwaaboah are set to headline the Ghana for Gold Concert in Scotland on Saturday, August 1, 2026, bringing together members of the Ghanaian community and music lovers for an evening of live entertainment and cultural celebration.
The event, organised by ASA Plus, will take place at the renowned Usher Hall on Lothian Road in Edinburgh, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m.
According to the organisers, the concert is aimed at celebrating Ghana’s rich cultural heritage while encouraging support for Ghanaian athletes competing at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The event will feature an impressive lineup led by award-winning dancehall artiste Stonebwoy, alongside highlife singer Akwaaboah, Afro-fusion star Fameye, and award-winning music duo DopeNation.
The four acts are expected to entertain patrons with performances of some of their biggest hits, offering fans in Scotland the opportunity to experience Ghanaian music on one stage.
Organisers say the concert is also intended to foster unity among Ghanaians living abroad under the theme of patriotism and national pride.
Promotional materials for the event carry the message, “Come and celebrate our heritage. Support our athletes. Share the pride. One nation. One spirit. One celebration.”
With four of Ghana’s most celebrated performers billed for the event, the Ghana for Gold Concert is expected to draw audiences from across Scotland and neighbouring cities for what promises to be an exciting night of music, culture and entertainment while celebrating Ghana’s participation in the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
