McBrown is a Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur
Ghanaian actress and television host Nana Ama McBrown has hinted at launching a flagship restaurant under her popular cooking show brand, McBrown’s Kitchen.
She revealed this while stating that if she had not pursued an entertainment career, she would most likely have become either a driver or a caterer.
Speaking in an interview on 3FM, the award-winning actress explained that she has always been drawn to careers that offer independence and flexibility, adding that she enjoys being in control of her own work.
“I would have been either a driver or a caterer; I want a freedom job. A job that I can control myself; I probably would have been an Uber driver,” she asserted.

McBrown also disclosed that while she had learned several trades growing up, cooking remained her greatest passion.
“From the beginning I learned a little bit of sewing, a little of trade, everything, but my favourite thing would have been… I love cooking,” she said.
Highlighting just how much she enjoys being in the kitchen, the actress noted, “I can cook for as many people… I don’t mind. When you love something, you don’t mind doing it anytime.”
She further stated that if she had chosen driving as a profession, she would have preferred working for herself rather than being employed by someone else.
“I probably would have been either a truck driver, a taxi driver, not somebody’s driver,” she remarked.
During the interview, the host suggested that McBrown should establish a restaurant under her popular cooking show McBrown’s Kitchen brand, praising the meals she regularly shares on social media.
While affirming that McBrown’s Kitchen is already an established brand, McBrown responded positively to the idea of opening a restaurant.
She noted that the suggestion had also been made by her boss five years earlier. The actress appeared to warmly receive the proposal, hinting that the concept could be worth considering.
