‘You are forced to sleep almost naked at 5:30 PM’ – Agradaa recounts life in prison

Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Agradaa, has recounted her experience in prison, recalling the strict sleeping routines inmates were required to follow.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session, Agradaa said inmates were required to go to bed at exactly 5:30 p.m.

According to her, they were only allowed to sleep wearing panties while wrapped in a single piece of cloth.

She explained that before entering their cells, prison officers would order inmates to unwrap the cloth to ensure they were not concealing weapons or any other prohibited items.

Agradaa further urged people to be cautious in their daily lives, stressing that anyone who truly understood the harsh realities of prison would think twice before retaliating when provoked.

“You’re made to go to bed at 5:30 p.m. Imagine someone like me, considering the life I’ve lived, being told to sleep at 5:30 p.m. The officers stand in front of the cells, and when you get there, they make you unwrap your cloth until you’re left wearing only a tiny pair of panties without a bra. They inspect you thoroughly to ensure you’re not hiding any illegal items. The officers are looking directly at your private parts,” she said.

Agradaa spent about eight months in prison after she was initially sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment on July 3, 2025, following her conviction on charges of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement.

Her legal team, however, challenged the ruling, arguing that the sentence was excessive.

Upon review, the Amasaman High Court reduced her sentence to 12 calendar months, describing the original punishment as harsh.

She was subsequently released from the Nsawam Prison on March 3, 2026, after serving eight months in custody.
