‘I leave it all to God’ - Faustina Fosu on attacks after Lumba’s demise

Faustina Fosu, the sister of late Daddy Lumba, has condemned individuals who continue to speak negatively about the deceased following his passing.

Speaking during the commemoration of Daddy Lumba’s one-year anniversary, Faustina expressed disappointment over the criticisms directed at her late brother and members of the family, stating that she has chosen to leave judgment in God’s hands.

According to her, although she does not react when people insult or disrespect her, she believes everyone will one day be accountable for their actions.

“A person is dead, and people are speaking badly of him behind his back; that is wrong. If you insult me, I don’t care, and I won’t mind you, but what might happen later is that you may not even find me to apologise. It’s not everyone you disrespect or insult,” she said.

Faustina added that she has not wronged anyone and therefore leaves those who attack her to God.

“A stranger can call and insult me. I leave all of that to God, and He will judge us all because I haven’t offended you in any way,” she stated.

She explained that her presence at the anniversary event was solely to support the family following the loss of her brother.

“It’s my brother who is dead, and I have decided to come and assist. I can’t just sit at home, cook and eat while my brother is gone. So if I am here to help and you insult me, I leave you to God because He speaks for the voiceless,” she said.

Faustina also reflected on the difficult period following Daddy Lumba’s passing, revealing that she struggled with sleepless nights but remains grateful for God’s grace.

“If not for the grace of God, I wouldn’t be alive. There were times I could sit all night until daybreak without being able to close my eyes and sleep, so I thank God for that,” she added.

Her remarks came during the family’s gathering to mark one year since the passing of the iconic highlife musician at his East Legon residence.
