Popular Nigerian content creator and comedian, Sydney Talker, has revealed that he has been celibate for the past four years, explaining that the decision was part of his commitment to personal growth and the advancement of the content creation industry.

In a video shared on his social media platforms, Sydney Talker disclosed that he has deliberately stayed away from romantic and emotional distractions to focus on studying the industry and finding lasting solutions for content creators.

"I've been celibate for four years now. Technically, what I'm trying to say is that I've not slept on the same bed with a woman for the past four years. It's not been easy, but we thank God," he said.

According to him, the period of self-discipline allowed him to closely examine the challenges within the content creation space and develop ideas that could benefit creators in the long run.

"In these past four years, I've studied my industry, content creation. I've come to the conclusion that if we don't put some things in place now, we will never get wealthy," he stated.

The skit maker further explained that distancing himself from emotional activities gave him the clarity to identify practical solutions that could transform the industry.

"I took out time to study, I stayed away from emotional activities and I found solutions that would really help us content creators," he shared.

Sydney Talker also announced plans to host a live session where he intends to unveil his ideas and invited fellow content creators and the public to participate.

"I will be going live and this is a formal invite for you to come, listen and join me as we create something new and good for my industry," he added.

Four years of believing that content creation can become so much more than what we know today. On July 27, I’ll be sharing the vision I’ve been working toward through the very first @CreatorsKeynote. We’ll explore the future of content creation, the creator economy, and how creators can build, distribute, and benefit from the next generation of creative platforms. I hope you’ll join me.
